Easy mushroom pastries with Pronto Mama Caramelised Garlic & Jalapeno

Serves 4-6 as a starter or snack

Ingredients:

1 packet of portobello mushrooms
1 packet of puff pastry
1 jar of Pronto Mama Caremelised Garlic & Jalapeno Paste
1 Fairview Goat’s Milk Chevin cheese
1 egg
Fresh parsley & thyme

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 200C. Roll out your pastry on a cutting board.

Step 2: Using a cutter or large glass tumbler, cut pastry rounds of about 15cm wide. Then use a tea cup and score a smaller circle inside.

Step 3: Slice your mushroom and chevin and pick off small sprigs of thyme and parsley.

Step 4: Spread some Pronto Mama Pronto Mama Caremelised Garlic & Jalapeno Paste on each round, top with mushrooms, a Chevin round and your parsley and thyme.

Step 5: Brush the pastry with a beaten egg and bake for 10-15 minutes until the pastry is golden. Enjoy!
